COMPANY
Rubiera has over 40 years of experience in the production of special steels. The plant, located in Casalgrande in the province of Reggio Emilia in Italy, covers a 250,000 square meter area and it is capable of producing 200,000 tons of steel per year.
Continuous investments, an on-going collaboration with the University of Modena and the years of experience of the Rubiera team allow the Company to satisfy the most varied requests and to build long-term partnerships with clients and suppliers.
HISTORY
The Acciaieria di Rubiera was founded in 1965 by Franco Testi and in 1970 began its specialization in high-integrity steels, becoming the first steel plant in Italy to introduce vacuum-degassing into its production process.
In 2013 the Acciaieria di Rubiera became the property of the Galperti family and the name is changed to Rubiera Special Steel S.p.A. The Galperti family, with almost 100 years of experience in the world of steel, share and embrace the values of quality, team-work, safety and regard for the environment that have characterized the history of Rubiera.
Today Rubiera Special Steel sells mainly in Italy but, thanks to a vast sales network, it has the ability to supply steel to the world market.
